Watson Ready for Wild Ride
13/05/2024
Following his appointment as first team manager, Dave Wild has begun the recruitment process ahead of the 2024/25 season. Central defender, Adam Watson, is the first name to agree to remain at Ingfield for the new season.
Watson joined the club in February from fellow Pitching In NPL East side Sheffield, going on to make 11 appearances, scoring on two occasions and made himself an indispensable member of the squad.

Watto started his career at Leeds United before moving into non-league football where he has played for Grantham Town, Worksop Town and Sheffield.
Dave Wild: “My first port of call when arriving at the club was ensuring the retention of Watto.
He is born winner, out and out leader and someone that absolutely epitomises the way that I expect our side to function.
Hopefully the re-signing of him shows the intent that we have as club for the coming season and I’m sure supporters will agree that building a side with Watto at the heart of it can only spell positive movement forward.”
Adam Watson: “I’ve really enjoyed it these last few months at Ossett United. After speaking with Phil, Spoff and the new Gaffer, I was really impressed with the vision of where they want to take the club. It’s a great club with top class fans.
I have spoken a lot with the gaffer since his appointment and I’m really looking forward to working with him, so with all that in mind it was an easy decision for me to stay.
I just wish pre-season started tomorrow! It will be great to see you all the supporters again next season. Get behind us and the new gaffer, we are making this year one to remember!!"
Keep your eye out over the next few days as there will be more player news as well as details of the 2024/25 Season Tickets and Membership packages.
